A Note for Our Cosmetic Dentistry Patients

If you are reading this, you may be seriously considering having some cosmetic dental work performed. Well, you have come to the right place. For many years now, our Aventura cosmetic dentist has been transforming the smiles of residents in and around the area, and we look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve the dazzling smile you have always dreamed about. We take pride in the fact that we provide all of our patients exceptional individualized attention and service.

Our highly trained dentists and support team have been trained to perform advanced cosmetic dental procedures using state-of-the-art equipment. We know how important the decision to undergo cosmetic dental treatment is and we are all here to support and guide you through this process. As a new patient, you deserve the very best; we can assure you that after meeting us and visiting our office for your new patient exam, you will leave knowing that your dental health is in good hands.

What to Expect as a New Patient

Many people fear the dentist and we understand that. Due to the significant advances in technique and equipment, procedures that once were time consuming and painful can now be done in fewer visits and with no discomfort whatsoever. If you do have a dental phobia or even just some anxiety about having dental work done, we can discuss options to relax you during your appointments. Oral conscious sedation means that you are awake during your procedures but you will feel no pain and barely remember the work was even performed. Sedation dentistry uses pills, nitrous oxide or mild anesthesia to relax our patients and calm your fears. Be sure to ask about sedation options during your consultation with Dr. Steven J. Rosenstein or Judith L. Gartner.

You will meet with Dr. Steven J. Rosenstein or Dr. Judith L. Gartner at your first visit, at which time we will discuss what brings you to our office and what your goals are concerning your dental health. Some patients require a great deal of dental work to get where they want to be while others only require a less involved procedure such as teeth whitening or dental bonding. We handle all dental problems—no problem is too small and no problem is too big.

Comprehensive New Patient Exam

Your new patient appointment will include telling us all about your medical and dental history as well as your fears, concerns and goals. The more we know about your history, the better able we are to meet your needs. A patient’s general medical health is very closely tied to his dental health, so please be sure to include as much about your medical history as possible. Even if you think something is unimportant, please let us know about it as that information may assist us in your treatment or may require us to consult with your physicians.

Our comprehensive exam will evaluate the health of your teeth, gums, jaw muscles, and joints. During the new patient exam, we will access your need for X-rays, diagnostic photographs, and may create diagnostic models. We can best design a customized treatment plan for you based specifically on your goals and objectives if we have current, accurate diagnostic tools.

After your new patient exam, we will schedule you for a Review of Findings (ROF) appointment. At this appointment, we will go over all the information we gathered at our first meeting. Based upon the results of the exam and your goals, we will discuss your treatment options and provide you, in written form, our findings and suggestions for treatment. You will see, in actual photographs, what we discovered, and we will explain how we can “fix” any problems we found. We will also explain all the costs involved with your treatment. We encourage you to ask any questions about your treatment options and the fees associated with your care.

Payment is due at the time services are provided unless other arrangements have been made in advance. If you have insurance, we will submit to your insurance electronically at the time of service, and your insurance will reimburse you directly. Again, we are more than happy to answer any billing and financing questions during your consultation.

If you would like to meet with Dr. Judith L. Gartner and Dr. Steven J. Rosenstein and discuss your dental concerns, please contact our Aventura cosmetic dental office today. We look forward to meeting you and working with you to achieve all of your dental goals.
